   - Chorus -

I close my eyes tight now and I try to remember

The faces of those in my family of friends.

But my eyes always turn and look down in my heart,

And the circle grows stronger, 'til we meet here again.

   - Verse One -

I often times think how my life would be empty

A shell that is hollow with nothing inside.

At times I believed that I could be a loner,

But I failed in the test every time that I tried.

   - Chorus -

I close my eyes tight now and I try to remember

The faces of those in my family of friends.

But my eyes always turn and look down in my heart,

And the circle grows stronger, 'til we meet here again.

   - Verse Two -

Some people think that their friends are a burden.

They're stronger than everyone else that they know.

A rock in the sands of emotional desert,

And as they go through their lives, wonder why they're alone.

   - Chorus -

I close my eyes tight now and I try to remember

The faces of those in my family of friends.

But my eyes always turn and look down in my heart,

And the circle grows stronger, 'til we meet here again.

   - Verse Three -

They say that you can never out live your childhood,

Reaching and growing overcoming your fears.

You keep deep inside you the friends from your childhood,

The ones who have shared your discovery years.

   - Chorus -

I close my eyes tight now and I try to remember

The faces of those in my family of friends.

But my eyes always turn and look down in my heart,

And the circle grows stronger, 'til we meet here again.

   - Verse Four -

I thank the Lord for the friends in my circle.

The space that they fill is no mystery to me.

And when I'm alone I remember their faces.

And I pray for each one individually.

   - Chorus -

I close my eyes tight now and I try to remember

The faces of those in my family of friends.

But my eyes always turn and look down in my heart,

And the circle grows stronger, 'til we meet here again.
